Three Random Things

-I had Drowning Pool’s “Let the Bodies hit the Floor” song stuck in my head yesterday at work. I don’t care if that’s actually the title or not, you know which song I’m talking about don’t you? Yeah, that’s what I thought, so shut up. I can’t ever keep artists, song tittles, lyrics, and melodies straight. Anyway, I kind of like that song even though a number of my friends think that it and Drowning Pool suck. But it was stuck in my head and I mentioned this to a friend (L#1) and she said she also liked that song. Sweet! That made me feel better about all the bad music I like. I’m going to go listen to Disturbed now.

-One of my bosses was talking about a particular part of the town she lives in. In describing it she said, “A lot of the people who live there are…”(long pause, and then guiltily)”…latino.” She hurriedly added, “But they know that they are.”
Wtf?
I certainly hope they do. Imagine some guy waking up and looking in the mirror one morning. “Holy shit mang! I’m fuckin’ latino! When did this happen? I thought I was all like, Cambodian or something.”

-I am the only person in my building who every opens their curtains. Everybody else has theirs shut all the time. I find this weird. I The people in the building across the parking lot sometimes have theirs open, so I thought it was because ours are all one bedroom and theirs are two. But I found a flaw, my old building was two bedroom apartments and they kept their curtains shut all the time too. Now I understand the people on the bottom floor whose windows look out on car bumpers, but what about everybody else? What are you people up to?

I think people who don't keep windows open, or not open them to let fresh air when they can, really disgusting.

I mean jesus, can you imagine the funk of their apartments with no fresh air?

(I live on the ground floor and use two types of curtains - sheer type curtains which you can't see in during the day, and thicker ones at night)

(See comments about curtains and windows - fascinating :))
